Teaching Personal Financial Literacy in the Elementary Grades provides Kindergarten to Grade 5 teachers with the needed personal financial literacy (PFL) and economic content background and pedagogy skills and resources to effectively teach financial literacy. PFL content covered is based on the Council for Economic Education’s Financial Literacy standards. This course example also is also aligned to Colorado standards on Personal Finance Literacy. Upon completion of this course, elementary teachers should understand financial concepts needed to teach PFL in their classroom and have strategies and resources to teach these concepts.
